About Our Club

Our Mission

The Fountain City Lions Club has been serving the surrounding community since 1952.

Over the decades the club members' efforts have enriched the community with projects such as:​

  •    Supporting Boy Scouts troops

  • Christmas Baskets to the Elderly

  • Providing high-tech vision screening to early elementary school students at

  •  Cochrane-Fountain City School

  • Highway clean-up

  • Construction of town swimming pool

  • Badger State Little League

  • Buffalo County Natural Resource Internship Program

  • and many more.

High Tech Vision Screening for C-FC Preschool - First Grade Students

Our Lions Club provides annual screening for Preschool through First Grade Students at C-FC. Using a high-tech camera, members are able to quickly and painlessly check for many common childhood vision problems. The school nurse then contacts the parents of students who need further screening by an eye doctor.

Annual Chicken Q

Our annual Charcoal Chicken Q, along with a Golf Tournament, Bass and Walleye Tournament through the Fountain City Rod and Gun Club, provide funds for us to better our community, provide grants to help community projects, support our local schools, and offer crisis relief.

Drop Off Boxes for Used Prescription Eyeglasses

Anyone wishing to donate used prescription eyeglasses may drop them off at Waumandee State Bank or the Post Office in Fountain City. The eyeglasses are then sorted and cataloged in Rosholt, Wisconsin, and from there they are sent out for re-use all over the world.
